Design Phase

Nourish All generated buy-in with the property owner Hawaii Public Housing Authority and manager Hawaii Affordable Properties; assessed existing land conditions such as soil health, wind

and precipitation levels, and sun exposure; created design sketches of

high-level vision and detailed components; and identified residents to serve as long-term stewards.

Build Phase

 We revitalized roughly a one-quarter acre space by with raised beds, in-ground plots, containers of various sizes, and spiral gardens. We planted over 40 varieties of food-producing plants, including a dozen fruit trees, sweet potatoes, kale, lettuce, beets, beans, squash, eggplant, and tomatoes. To support infrastructure,

we created new access paths, a windbreak fence, high-efficiency drip irrigation, and several tons of soil and natural compost.
